In 2008, Former Friar women's ice hockey great Stephanie O'Sullivan was one of four inductees enshrined into the Massachusetts Hockey Hall of Fame class of 2008. The Dorchester native headlined the class of 2008 along with Bruins Hall of Famer Milt Schmidt, legendary hockey builder Walter Brown and former Harvard, Olympic and Bruins great Ted Donato.

O'Sullivan on being inducted into the Massachusetts Hockey Hall of Fame: "It's an incredible honor to be awarded by my home state. It's actually extremely humbling to be associated with the present and past nominees. I never envisioned anything like this. These nominees speak volumes about hockey in Massachusetts. My time at PC was one of the great periods of my life. Winning four ECAC Championships was something I'll always remember."

While at Providence, Stephanie was named ECAC Player of the Year and New England Hockey Writers Player of the Year in 1995 as she scored 40 goals and 28 assists for 68 points. She was named to the ECAC All-Star Team in all but her freshman campaign at Providence. As a freshman, she was named the ECAC Rookie of the Year. She led the Friars to four conescutive ECAC Championship titles. O'Sullivan dominates the Friar record book as she is second all-time in career points (253), first in asssists (127) and second in goals scored (126).

After her impressive career as a Friar, O'Sullivan went on to play for Team USA in the World Championships in 1994,'97,'99 and `00. Over her career with the US Women's National Team, she tallied 10 goals and 13 assists in just 20 games.
 

Stephanie is a Director and one of the founders of the O'Sullivan Skating Academy which provides skating instruction and hockey skill development to many programs across New England.
